I thought it would be appropriate to update.  It’s been quite a while.  We survived Isaac.  Thankfully, we didn’t have any damage or power outages where we are.  However, so many people have suffered due to this storm.  Please keep them in prayer. Kaiser was being a little dramatic that he couldn't play outside. I spent my days waiting out the weather with my grandmother who seemed to stay in a constant state of confusion.  According to her…she was staying in my home, we were getting ready for church, I’m from Texas and I didn't feed her for lunch. Poor thing didn't know what was going on.  She was in a great mood other than that.  It was so cute at one point where after I fed her lunch, she sighed contently and gave me an excuse about needing to relax.  So relaxing meant sitting in the worn out spot on the couch watching NBC.  Now, my grandmother insists that anything electronic is of the devil but yet she wa...

Five & Counting

My Anniversary Weekend was AWESOME . I can't believe it's been 5 years. We had so much fun together.  We started the day off earlier than usually.  We used to sleep in all the time and lately, we are getting up earlier. Does this mean we’re finally growing up? Hmmm.  We hung around at the house trying to decide if we wanted to go out of town.  With Isaac having just grandpa’d his way through, we didn’t want to really travel. For my Monster. :) Redneck picnic it was! I was so worried it was going to rain but thankfully it held up.  I was going to prepare some picnic food that morning but my hubby said he wanted a steak. Lol! Great picnic food right? Chili’s-to-go it was! We picked a sweet little spot by the river and enjoyed each others company.  After that, we did a little bit of shopping.  We took Kaiser with us since we were also celebrating his birthday. He made 5 this month too! I wish I  would've  taken pics of him in Petsmart...

Yep! I'm still alive!

Hey lovelies! I'm still alive!! Man, I’ve missed it here. Let me bring you up to speed on where I’ve been and what I’ve been up to the last cabillion days. Don't worry. It's abridged. I may have mentioned before that Jon and I have been meeting with couple, Tony and Jane, for mentoring.  They are a blast!  We’ve been enjoying getting together at least once a month. Jon and I aren’t on the rocks or anything but we knew it would be wise to have an older / experienced couple to talk to about things that could become problems if they weren’t handled correctly. Does that make sense? It’s really incredible how God formed this.  We both thought of the same couple to start our mentoring with but it was just a matter of asking them and we didn’t want to be a burden or sound like crazy folk.  Little did I know, they were in prayer over what was to happen next in their lives and when I mentioned the mentoring, it rang true.
