Live & Believe

Wow. I'm so ready for Fall.  The temps were slightly lower today.  I took a deep breath outside and smiled.  It's coming but it sure is taking it's precious time.  There's just something about the air when Autumn arrives. It's crisp.  I love everything about it.  I was thinking about how Thanksgiving is right down the road.  BTW, what the crap is up with that?  The older I get, the quicker time flies. "Like sands in the hour glass..." Anyway, back to Thanksgiving. I relish in spending time with my family and thanking God for the many blessings He's given.  I'm even thankful for the things that were NOT blessings but ending up teaching me something or working out for the good. [Romans 8:28]   We need to be thankful every day .  I read something simple online the other day that I needed.  It said "What if we woke up today with only things we thanked God for yesterday?" I'm going to start doing "Fashionable Friday" so I don't overload with my collages. I haven't figured out if I want to do this every Friday or not. I'll probably spread it out mix it up.  Anyway, the temps finally dropped some over here, which is good, but I'm having severe sinus headaches, which is not good. I feel like someone scrambled my brain. Blarg.  I hope ya'll have a wonderful weekend.  If all goes as planned, the hubs and I are having dinner with some friends of ours we rarely get to visit. We've starting planning regular visits with them.  They are really sweet people and Jon and I admire their marriage, not because it's perfect but because it's real.  They've been through a lot and they've managed to make it through and stay faith-driven. I'm looking forward to learning a lot from them and tonight I'm looking forward to learning how to grill the perfect steak and the perfect asparagus. :) HAVE A H

It’s crazy how I had never met her or talked to her on the phone and I instantly had a connection with her.  We have so much in common…everything from music, shoes, shopping, foods, views on relationships and even our bad habits. Sadly, I didn’t keep up with what we did on which days but I know we did a lot of shopping and talking.  It was a little hard to communicate at first.  Thank God, my mom was there to translate.  We used my German tutor app and dict.cc quite a bit too. She’s really amazing and I can’t wait to see her again.  She has plans to revisit and spend a year with us. =) Here's an abridged run-down of the activities. Spent time with our beautiful Oma! She watched me make my first marshmallow fondant cake. Went to the river and... visited the ducks & geese. Shopped on a wee
